About Competition Athletic Surfaces

Competition Athletic Surfaces, Inc. builds, resurfaces and repairs tennis courts, running tracks and other athletic surfaces throughout the southeastern United States.

Our staff has a combined 50 years of experience in the athletic surfaces industry while working on nearly every type of surface, including resilient track surfaces, standard hard court surfaces, cushioned hard court surfaces and synthetic turf surfaces.

Chattanooga has a rich tennis heritage, including names like Guerry, Bartlett, Evert, Tanner, Wilkison, Caswell, Gottfried, Voges and Harkleroad among others. The Annual Rotary High School Tennis Tournament, known...

throughout the South, has been held in Chattanooga since 1956. The ITA Men's All-American Championships were held in Chattanooga in 2002 through 2004. The tradition of tennis in this city is remarkable, and we apply skill and workmanship worthy of that tradition.

Tennis Courts

Three Southeastern Conference tennis teams –the University of Tennessee, the University of Alabama, and Mississippi State University – are now playing on Competition Athletic Surfaces’ tennis courts. Likewise Birmingham Southern University, UNC, JSU, ETSU, Murray State, University of the South at Sewanee. As you would expect, different coaches want different types of surfaces, and we have a reputation for delivering a surface that matches the team’s personality.

Track Surfaces

A wide variety of clients have called on us to install walking and running tracks: Moody Air Force Base, Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base, Warner Robbins Air Force Base, Fort Benning, Fort Campbell, and a wide range of public and private high schools and colleges throughout the Southeast. We even installed a rooftop fitness track for Unum’s corporate headquarters in downtown Chattanooga.

Residential

We have enhanced residential values by installing home tennis and basketball courts, swimming pool decks, patios and driveways.

Other Surface Sports

Baseball fields, field house floors, football gridirons and soccer pitches… Competition Athletic Surfaces has experience either installing or repairing them all.

Three SEC Schools Turn to Competition Athletic Surfaces

Three Southeastern Conference tennis programs recently installed new court surfaces in their varsity facilities, each the work of Chattanooga’s Competition Athletic Surfaces.
